David Reece Newborns

Friday, August 19th, 2011

Just nine days after we took shot their maternity session, Blake and Bekah welcome baby David Reece into their little family. When David was 11 days old, I went to visit him and take a few photos of him and his parents. From his Mickey Mouse room to his tiny little fingers, every detail about David and his new world is perfect. Congratulations, Blake and Bekah, and thank you for letting me be a part of David’s life so soon!

Madame President, Christie King

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

I mentioned the other day that I shot some photos of Christie King for Auctioneer Magazine. I thought I’d show a few of the photos that weren’t included in the magazine, mostly because I think the pictures of her with her dog, Piper, are so adorable. Christie tends to have a very laid-back and fun personality, and she often gets her work done from the boat that she and her husband, Mike, own. We knew doing a formal shoot in an office of some sort wouldn’t fit her, so we went out on the boat for our last location of the day to really show off who Christie is.

A Noccalula Maternity Shoot

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011

A what? I know, I know. It’s a crazy Indian name, but what more would you expect in Etowah County? We thrive off the Indian heritage. You should Google the story behind the name of Noccalula Falls if you really want a story.

Ahem. Back to my regularly scheduled blog post. I met with Blake and Bekah at Noccalula Falls on a Saturday evening in July. Did I mention earlier that we were in Alabama? We were. And July in Alabama is hot. While Blake and I were sweating profusely, Bekah — eight and a half months pregnant, mind you — was as adorable and dry as she could be. They were troopers through the heat, and crazy names aside, Noccalula Falls does make a pretty backdrop. Here are some of the photos we caught, just nine days before little David was welcomed into the world.

Published: Auctioneer Magazine

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

A couple of months ago, I had the privilege of taking some photos for the National Auctioneers Association. The association has been in existence for 62 years, and this past July, they elected their first female president. Thanks to the NAA for asking me to take photos of Christie as she steps into her new position. Here are some of the photos used in a feature on Christie for this month’s Auctioneer Magazine.

Baby Evan at Three Months

Monday, April 11th, 2011

I shot some maternity photos for Brittney and Chris back in December. Even being full-term, Brittney was beautiful pregnant, one of those that only had a belly. Here’s a couple of the photos from that shoot:

Evan was born just two days after that shoot.

We got together again just last weekend to do some photos of little Evan, who is now three months old, and he’s as sweet as he can be. He’s always cuddly with his mom and seems to be all giggles and smiles to Chris. I love watching the special relationship each parent has, even with a newborn. I just love baby pictures in black and white, and I can’t get over his gigantic eyes!
